The Island School in the Bahamas serves a diverse group of Bahamian and international students. Part of the campus includes The Elementary Learning Center (ELC), which is a unique school for children aged 3 to 10. While at the Island School, I mentored a young student at the ELC every week, and assisted with a hands-on learning approach that encourages creativity and critical thinking as well as an awareness of the world around them.

In my local community, this fall, I have begun to volunteer with meal delivery as part of the Youth Corps at Kids In Crisis, a non-profit organization founded in 1978 that provides shelter, counseling and educational programs for children, teens, and families in Connecticut.
