While attending The Island School in Eleuthera, The Bahamas, in the fall of 2025, I worked as a research team member at The Cape Eleuthera institute along side Natascha Wosnick, the zoologist and shark specialist. The research that we conducted was part of The Shark Research and Conservation Program at the Institute. We were studying The impact of shark ecotourism on the community of Eleuthera. The research was also focused on assessing the potential physiological impacts of ecotourism around lemon shark nurseries. Our research contributed to Dr. Wosnick’s ongoing published studies of the subject.

When I returned home, I completed a Junior Thesis Project about this research.
